This Privacy Policy explains how QuantFace (“we”, “us”, “the App”) collects, uses, shares, stores, and retains information when you use the App.
The App includes features that process photos that may contain face data.
1. Features that involve face photos
- Face Analysis: you provide a front photo and a side photo to generate measurements, scores, and written feedback.
- Improvement Plan (optional): generated from Face Analysis text (no images are sent for this step).
- MaxMorph: you provide one photo to generate analysis and, optionally, a generated “after” image.
2. Information we collect and process
- Photos you choose to upload/capture (may contain your face).
- Generated outputs (analysis text/JSON, scores, measurements, and optional MaxMorph image output).
- Local device data: display name, optional avatar image URI, credits (“Face uses”), and local history records.
- Purchase information: in-app purchases are handled by Apple and RevenueCat; we do not receive your payment card details.
- Technical metadata: limited operational metadata may be processed by our service providers (e.g., timestamps, IP address) for security and reliability.
3. How we use information
- Provide requested features (analysis, optional plan generation, MaxMorph generation).
- Operate and secure the service (prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, maintain reliability).
4. Sharing with third parties (face data processing)
When you run Face Analysis or MaxMorph, the App sends your image(s) to Supabase Edge Functions,
which forward the request to Google Gemini AI models to generate results.
We do not sell face data and we do not share face photos for advertising.
5. Storage and retention (including third-party storage)
5.1 Developer storage (our systems)
- We do not store your face photos or generated results in our own database or file storage.
- Local device storage: Face Analysis history, MaxMorph history, and credits are stored on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.
5.2 Supabase (Edge Functions infrastructure)
- Do they store face data? No (not by design). Supabase is used as a request-processing layer (Edge Functions). Your image(s) are processed transiently to forward the request to Google Gemini and return results.
- Do they store face photos/content? No. We do not store face photos or AI results in Supabase Storage or a Supabase database.
- What they may store: Supabase may retain operational logs (for example: timestamps, request/response status, and IP address). These logs are used for security and reliability and are not intended to store face photos.
- Retention: operational logs may be stored for up to 30 days.
- Why this length of time: to allow investigation of abuse and incidents, troubleshoot failures, and maintain reliable service operations.
5.3 Google (Gemini API)
- Do they store face data? Yes. Google processes the submitted content (prompts and images, if any) to return results, and may retain API inputs/outputs.
- What they may store: Google may retain API inputs/outputs, which can include the submitted image(s) and generated text/image output.
- Retention: may be stored for up to 30 days.
- Why: abuse prevention, security monitoring, policy enforcement, and service integrity.
- Why this length of time: to enable detection/investigation of abuse patterns and enforce platform safety policies over a reasonable investigation window.
Note: We share face photos only with the providers above to provide the requested features. RevenueCat/Apple do not receive face photos.
6. Your choices and controls
- Permissions: you can revoke camera/photo permissions in iOS/Android settings.
- Delete local data: you can clear Face Analysis history and MaxMorph history in the app’s Settings.
- Uninstall: removes locally stored app data from your device.
7. In-app purchases
Purchases are processed via Apple App Store / StoreKit and RevenueCat. We do not receive your payment card details.
8. Security
Requests are sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Local data is protected by your device’s OS security features.
9. Children
The app is intended for users aged 9 and older. Users under 13 should use the app only with parental consent and supervision.
